The Black Uruks are extremely rare, elite Uruk-hai, and possibly the greatest orcs Sauron ever had in his armies; they were made after his diminishing at the end of the Second Age, even before his return to Mordor. They are armed with blades which are especially effective against heavy armor. They are the second most powerful Swordsmen of Mordor, the first being the Castellans. However, they are considerably cheaper and cost 0 command points like every other Cirith Ungol unit. They cannot be paired with overseers but are affected by all other abilities such as "Might of the Damned" or "Lord of Mordor". Black Uruks automatically heal when out of combat for more than a few seconds but they do not regenerate troops until they gain a banner carrier.

Upgrades[]
The Black Uruks have access to the following upgrades:
Banner Carrier - This upgrade can only be given to a level 1 battalion and will promote it to level 2. At level 2 the battalion can regenerate units when out of combat. Cost: 200.
Strategy[]
Black Uruk-hai are especially effective late game thanks to their ability. They can tear through the heavy armor of upgraded and elite units, easily granting Mordor a big bonus against upgraded units. Along with that their damage, armor and the fact that they cost 0 command points means that they are quite effective and have very little opportunity cost.
