Strategy[]

Gondor Pikemen are the basic Pikemen unit of Gondor. They should be gotten to act against the Cavalry battalions of the enemy. They have access to the Porcupine formation, which allows them to stop the Cavalry, being effective at their job. Once you reach mid-game, a better but more expensive alternative becomes available in the form of Tower Guards. If you are able to keep up with a decent economy, these can be the perfect replacement for your Pikemen in the early game, but if your economy can't keep up with recruiting these elite troops, the Gondor Pikemen will continue to be serviceable and perfectly good in their purpose.
