Recruit the Swordsmen of Lake-Town. They lack the stats of the stronger dwarven units, but they have a large battalion size, move faster, and are quite cheap.
Abilities[]
Hold at Bay - The attacks of Town Hall Swordsmen slow enemy infantry by 50% for 10 seconds. Cavalry and monsters trampling them will be slowed twice as much. (Passive ability)
Upgrades[]
The Lake Town Swordsmen have access to the following upgrades:
Banner Carrier - This upgrade can only be given to a level 1 battalion and will promote it to level 2. At level 2 the battalion can regenerate units when out of combat. Cost: 200.
Heavy Armor - Increases the armor, hit points and damage resistance of the unit to ranged damage. Changes the unit's armor set to EdainInfantryHeavyArmor. Cost: 300

Strategy[]
Lake-Town Swordsmen are useful because of their speed and battalion size. They are not as strong as regular Ered Luin Guardians, but they can be an alternative. Their ability, Hold at Bay, makes them able to slow units that are too fast for dwarves to catch them, and are great for slowing down cavalry and monsters, giving an opportunity for spearmen that are near to get closer to the cavalry to kill them.
