"The beacons of Gondor are alight, calling for aid. War is kindled. Time is short. See, there is fire on Amon Dîn, and flame on Eilenach; and there they go speeding west: Nardol, Erelas, Min-Rimmon, Calenhad, and the Halifirien on the borders of Rohan. ... it is long since the beacons of the North were lit..."
Gandalf, The Return of the King

Strategy[]

The Strategy for lighting the beacons of Gondor should be exactly the same as in the books - you want to have your reinforcements ready before your enemies are surrounding you busying themselves burning your Fortress down. Build beacons and recruit Imrahil of Dol Amroth almost as a defensive measure more than anything else. If you're ready to advance with them offensively that's great, but you need to have your Fortress secure at all times; they are no Army of the Dead - they can't save you if you're already being overrun.

Trivia[]

  • The ignited signal fire texture was removed with the 4.5 update.
