Tauriel

Tauriel is the captain of the Elven guard of Thranduil's Woodland Realm. She is summonable for a short time on all maps except the Mirkwood map (6 player), where she can be recruited permanently from the Mirkwood Outpost.

The player can summon Tauriel using her spellbook power near any allied structure.

Abilities[]

Tauriel forest daughter Weapon Toggle - Tauriel switches between her blades and her bow.

Tauriel captain ability Mirkwood Ambush - Tauriel leads the Guards of Mirkwood. Tauriel can summon two battalions of her guards on any allied building on the map and also calls two battalions to aid her. If she wields her bow, archers will be summoned at her location and swordsmen will defend the allied building; if she wields her daggers it will be the other way around.

Tauriel jump at Jump At - Tauriel leaps at an enemy hero. This deals high damage to the hero and knocks them to ground. This refreshes the damage bonus of all of Tauriel's Guards mapwide.

Strategy[]

Tauriel is a very versatile summon which can be used in many different ways. You can either pick to summon her reinforcements near her to muster a small defensive detachment of forces or you can summon them at another building, to provide aid to distant allies in the case of a multipronged offensive. Using her toggle weapon, you can also pick what units she will summon near her and what units she will summon at the target area. If Tauriel's location is besieged by machines it might be worth switching her to daggers before summoning her guards so that the Avari units are summoned at her position, while the Mirkwood Border Guards go aid your main troops. Don't forget to use her Jump At ability at least once, as it refreshes the guards' passive, granting them double damage for 15 seconds.
